Grand Prairie Friend's Loda Prairie featured in video by Chris Benda

Despite being called "the prairie state," Illinois has very little high quality prairie remaining. This video highlights some of the gems of the tallgrass prairie found in pioneer cemeteries, with focus on Loda Cemetery Prairie in Iroquois County.

Really enjoyed the video of Loda Cemetery Prairie. I grew up in Loda and moved back there in 2002-2020. During that time, I understood the land was purchased by the Nature Conservancy (or maybe they helped with a grant). I didn't know that there was a viewing platform, so I will definitely get up there later this month (May) before Memorial Day to visit the cemetery where my ancestors are buried. Thanks for an excellent video story.
