About the event
Warbler Bluff is a beautiful site with hills and bluffs over the river. It needs to be returned to its natural state before we embark on further restoration.
We will be removing all items (non-organic) from the site. A large dumpster will be available at the entrance near our new parking lot and we will have hauling vehicles if needed. There are a variety of light and heavy items to carry so everyone can help. You can even bring a friend!
We can give you a tour when we are done working.
Location: 19331 Harrison St Rd., Charleston, IL (map)
Directions: From Intersection of Hwy 130 and RTE 16 (Lincoln Ave) in Charleston (Rural King/ High School intersection): Head east on to RTE 16 (Lincoln Ave) towards the Walmart for 1 mile. Just past the Walmart, turn right onto HARRISON ST. RD (very well marked) and continue for 2 miles. When you cross the long, elevated bridge over the Embarras River, you have arrived. Immediately at the end of the bridge, pull to the right-hand side of the road and turn into Warbler Bluff.
