About the event
The prescribed burn on Saturday, March 1 will start at 9:00am at the Warbler Landing section of Warbler Ridge. Heading south out of Charleston on IL-130, continue about 2 miles out of town to E Co Rd 400N and turn right. Follow the road for about a mile until you find us, and park on the right shoulder. If you are using GPS, navigating to Fox Ridge State Park Hunter Parking #6 should get you heading in the right direction.
We have three burn units to choose from here. We may do one unit or more depending on time and conditions. Please plan for several hours of burning and be sure to bring water to carry with you. Remember to wear sturdy boots, long sleeves, and avoid synthetic fabrics (fleece, nylon).
If you plan to help out at either burn or you have any questions please contact jeff@grandprairiefriends.org.
