About the event

See GPF's newly acquired 14-acre property, Warbler Crossing, near the corner of Bypass Rd and CORD 550N.   The homestead, surrounded by woodlands and the Embarras River, has a house, barn, and parking.

We plan to cut and spray woody invasives in the area.  Meet and park at Warbler Crossing.   Directions: Take Route 130 south from Charleston for about 2 miles to Bypass Rd.  Turn right on Bypass Rd and cross the stone bridge.  Then turn left in the first driveway after the bridge.   If you miss the driveway, the next road you will see is 550N on the right. What to Bring: Appropriate clothing – long pants and shirt, work shoes, and gloves.  Tools will be available and cleaned but feel free to bring your personal tools (loppers, clippers, or hand saw).  Covid 19 Adaptations: social distancing, masks, and no organized carpooling from C-U.    Cancellations:  Weather cancellations will be announced on Facebook and through email to those who RSVP.    RSVP:  volunteer@grandprairiefriends.org
