MAY'S STEWARDSHIP SATURDAY WILL BE AT JAMES NANCE WOODS.
Ready to get outdoors, enjoy the beauty of Nance Woods, and help preserve and protect land all at the same time? Join GPF land staff and volunteers to do some hands-on stewardship work of removing garlic mustard.
This is the perfect introduction to stewardship work and GPF. Newbies are welcome! Tools and training are provided. Please wear appropriate clothing – long pants and shirt, work shoes and gloves. Bug spray and suntan lotion recommended based on the season.
Directions: In Neoga, west on 6th St. which curves left and becomes Trowbridge Road. Follow Trowbridge Road (which becomes 1000N and later 700N) for 2.2 miles to 3425E (Shelby Co. Rd). Continue North on 3425E for .9 miles past two "S" curves to the woods on the right. Park along the road.
