About the event
Become certified as a RiverWatch community scientist and learn how to monitor water quality in your local streams! Volunteers will learn to survey habitat and aquatic life, focusing on species like dragonfly nymphs, beetle larva, midges, and snails.
Workshops cost $50 for adults. This workshop is primarily for adults but kids may attend with a registered adult (2 kids per 1 adult). If the cost of the workshop is a detterent, please reach out to RiverWatch staff about our scholarships (limited number available).

Illinois RiverWatch Network is a statewide, non-profit community science program hosted by National Great Rivers Research and Education Center. RiverWatch volunteers have been collecting water quality data since 1995.
