About the event
Join us for a special seed collection edition of Prairie Rovers! This year, we are combining our annual seed collection with our new monthly Prairie Rovers event. No experience is necessary. Grab a friend and come on out!
Are you ready to protect the prairies? Become a Prairie Rover! Join Grand Prairie Friends Natural Areas Technician Joey Piper the third Saturday of every month as he leads a stewardship workday at one of GPF”s northern prairie properties (to be announced on website ahead of time).
Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants and bring a water bottle and sun and bug protection. No experience is needed- bring a friend, enjoy the beautiful day on the prairie, and make a difference for our native lands!
This month, we will be collecting seeds at Prospect Cemetery Prairie NP in Paxton. See you there!
