About the event

Help us snip and collect prairie plant seeds to support restoration and reseeding efforts at Warbler Ridge.

Grand Prairie Friends has regular monthly workdays, the first Saturday of the month from 9-ll AM, at Warbler Ridge Conservation Area. We intend to have ten a year (skipping Aug and Dec) and the work will involve seed collection, trail work, invasive removal, and general clean-up. Tools will be available. Snacks and drinks too!

Having a regularly scheduled workday will help us better communicate opportunities to regular volunteers and to new yet to be discovered volunteers in the Charleston area. All ages welcome!

Directions: We will meet at the red shack on Daileyville Rd. Take Route 130 south from Charleston to Daileyville Road (CR 1470 North). Follow Daileyville road about one mile past Warbler Woods and several houses to the sign and the gravel parking area on the right.

Carpooling available from Urbana. Meet at Meijers at 2500 S. Philo Rd. Depart at 7:45am from the southwest corner of the lot.

Wear long pants/shirt, work shoes, gloves, and hat.
