About the event
Wilson Montgomery (hwmontgo@gmail.com), Grand Prairie Friends volunteer and Warbler Ridge Champion, invites you to join him on the 3rd Saturday of every month to remove common woody invasive plants. Wilson is a very knowledgeable volunteer who loves to share the ecology and uniqueness of Warbler Ridge and will guide volunteers in identification of invasives and removal techniques.
No experience necessary. New volunteers can be paired with experienced ones. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves, and gloves. Tools will be provided.
This month, we will be working on removing the invasive cottonwood and sycamore trees along the North River Trail around the mid wetland area and the pollinator habitat. Volunteers will gather at a Mark's Point in Warbler Bottoms (follow CR 550N).
