Help with our Honey-Do List Removal of invasive honeysuckle and honey locust
Join us at Grand Prairie Friend's Edna Edwards Burnett Land and Water Reserve in Champaign County, north of Villa Grove (1466-1498 County Rd 100 N, Tolono, IL). This former 20-acre site has been expanded by 60 acres with newly planted trees. Volunteers will be working alongside guests of our grant partner, Brookfield Energy, to remove honeysuckle and honey locust on the original site along the Embarras River.
Directions: IL 130 south from Urbana for 14 miles to 200N. West 1 mile on 200N to 1500E. South on 1500E one mile to 100N. West on 100N ¼ mile. Park along road east of bridge. Property is north.
What to Bring: Appropriate clothing – long pants and shirt, sturdy shoes, and gloves. Tools and instructions will be provided.
No experience required.
Every workday concludes with drinks, snacks, and friends!
